The Somfy Protect Outdoor Camera, a camera with full HD and night vision, alerts you via your smartphone when someone approaches your property. As soon as the camera detects movement, you will immediately receive a push message to your phone. You can watch live, check the recorded images of 30 seconds and download those images for free, or upload them to Dropbox, Google Drive or OneDrive.

Deter intruders 

If motion is detected, the camera offers a range of deterrents. One of these is the built-in 110dB siren, which you can turn on from your smartphone if someone tries to gain entry to your home, startling the intruders and alerting your neighbours to the commotion. You can also communicate directly with visitors via the camera, whether this is to warn off an intruder or simply communicate with the delivery man.

The camera can also be connected to your outdoor lighting, so you can shine the light on intruders and they’ve got nowhere to hide.

Added smart connectivity

The Somfy Protect Outdoor Camera comes with a smart activation function. When you get back home, the system will recognise you and switch itself off, and if you go out again, you will get a reminder via the app on your smartphone to re-activate the camera. 

As well as offering the ability to connect the camera with other products, such as outdoor lighting, to build your perfect home security system, the Somfy Protect Outdoor Camera can also be connected to Google Assistant, Amazon Alexa and IFTTT.

Apple HomeKit Compatibility

As of May 2020, the Somfy Outdoor Camera is now compatible with Apple HomeKit, Apple's smart home system, which offers you the opportunity to control all of your smart home devices from one simple platform.

You can say goodbye to having separate apps for every smart device. HomeKit brings them all together, offering the option to control your whole smart home from one single app, as well as via Siri. HomeKit does not require you to have a central device or hub; all you need is an iPhone, iPad or Mac.
